I think the OS issues are probably like anything else. They will probably need a few iterations before they get some creaks straightened out. I've worked on OS X, Win, and linux and like them all for different reasons. Maybe i need a triple booting mac solution!

I've purchased a MacBook Pro about a month ago as well. It would seem that I'm a lot more enthusiast though. In my case my brother in law also bought an iMac & we've purchased an Airport Extreme to connect them together & things were setup so fast that I'm still wondering if I haven't forgotten to do something.

Most of the applications have streaming/sharing features such as iTunes, iPhoto, etc & everything gets detected & mounted automatically (thank you Bonjour :p).

Although I won't switch like my brother in law who no longer has a PC, I am really pleased with my MacBook Pro & would easily recommend a Mac to someone who needs a functional computer but only if they don't want to play games. :)
