I know this is old now and everyone in the their brother has a way to get WLM to work on
server XX x64 or whatever. But what I'm trying to do has not worked at all. I've tried everything listed on here. I have a Windows 2008 x64 Server that is a Terminal Server hosting 40 users. I can install WLM and it launches fine on a few users, but the majority of them get a Windows Live Communications Platform has stopped working error. Has anyone been successful at installing WLM (any version) on a x64 Terminal Server? I had to switch to Trillian, and I like it, but the bosses do not like it.

Man ....this is awesome.... I had all kind of troubles logging in with the new WLM 9 for xp x86...all kind of errors, visited all kind of tech support forums and blogs...and nothing.
Finally I uninstalled and erase (the register with ccleaner as well) every single trace of the "new" messenger and reinstalled that standalone. Works perfect

Thank you very much

Ok, I think this helped me once before! I can't remember how long ago, but it worked once, I got the messenger onto my Win2k3 machine. But it appears the MSI is not supported on windows 2003. Messege says requires new windows version.

Need the .exe version. Can you suggest messenger's with lower version that work for win2k3?
