Any gamers out there?
I decided that the TS weblog didn’t get enough use, so I figured that I should change that! I wanted to spend this time and write about some technology-related crap.
How many of you are gamers (I would imagine that just a few of you are). I just wanted to mention that I am really looking forward to the new products from both Logitech and Razer. I made a thread in the TechSpot forums about some of my initial thoughts. What do I think about the new products from both companies? I guess you will just have to patiently wait for us to write a review on all of these snazzy products!
Another thing that many people really wonder is if the expensive gaming accessories really are worth it. I can honestly tell you that they make a difference in gameplay. The new products that will be coming out in the next year or so will be pricey, and I won’t try to deny that. I urge you guys to think about whether or not you really want to spend the extra money on a new keyboard or mouse. Many stores (Circuit City, Fry’s, CompUSA) now have gaming products setup so you can tinker with them before you buy them. It is probably a good idea to go and check out the design and feel of each of the products for yourself.
Enough rambling for one night! Cheers!

The best accessory I have with regard to gaming has to be a mousepad (Everglide Giganta), seriously. It’s the most long-term component of my setup.

Thomas, I actually didn’t even begin talking about the different mouse pads that I have used over the years. I think I may speak about them in another blog entry. :) I also believe that my mouse pad will last the longest compared to any of my other computer parts.

I stopped using hard plastic mousepads when I realized it would kill my mouse’s feet in a matter of months, since then I’ve lived happy using standard cloth mousepads.

Julio, my dad will probably never return my Steel QcK+ cloth mouse pad. :) Not only does it work flawlessly with every mouse we have used, it is nice to have something that can be folded, washed, bent, etc.

Steel cloth mouse pad? Where can I get one?? After long hours of playing game downloads the bottom of my mouse looks horrid.
