I wouldn’t say I agree with them all, but for the most part the editor gets his point through quite clearly, had a few laughs as well.
I have been using Mac OS X for the past 24 hours (along with my PC, of course). The transition, if you can call it that, has been smoother than I thought. I haven’t used a Mac in the past couple of years for more than a few minutes, which means last time I worked using one for a prolonged period of time was probably on an ancient version of the OS, perhaps version 8 or 9… so far I’m impressed with the capabilities of Tiger.
I’m trying to move most of my important files to the Mac Mini’s HD, in case I ever need to work on the site from it, that way I will also be able to learn the OS doing something useful. First thing I may try to accomplish is putting up a new newsletter here although I’m still trying to learn my ways using the new platform given that I will have to replace some programs I use in Windows and are not available for Mac.
Oh, and believe me, you want to buy any new Mac with at least 512mb of RAM. That’s what I’m using and although the system feels ok for the most part, I do notice some slowdowns when multitasking, probably more so than in XP with the same amount of memory.
Finally! After waiting for three days I was able to watch Episode III… not content with having my friends bragging about it all weekend, I had to load TS and see Derek’s comments about it! :) Just in case you were wondering, I did have tickets for the premiere however I had to miss it for a few reasons.
Anyway, I liked the movie a LOT and probably going to repeat it a week or so from now but this time in a theather with a better audio setup so I can have the full experience. While on the topic I thought I would bring this up: Which franchise has made more money overall, Star Trek or Star Wars?
Hope you enjoy the idea of sharing a weblog hosted here at TS.
I don’t know if you maintain a blog outside of TS but anyway you can treat this as it was your own.
Although I plan to touch on a lot of site-related material and technology topics, I also plan to use this for personal stuff.
The idea of this TS Staff weblog is having some space for all of us to go a bit informal when desired, while keeping in touch with the community. For sure there will be people reading this and commenting without feeling the pressure sometimes experienced in the main site.
As always, I’m open for suggestions and ideas… you can post here if you want.
If everything goes well then we will go live with the weblog soon.
