Hi Broni... I have a major problem on my hands; I fell for the fake install programme which I think is called SIREFEH (or something like that); My MSE didn't pick it up, and when it eventually did it has been restarting my computer every moment I switch it on. I have no idea what to do next, however I have managed to conduct scans using FRST

The problem is my husband's computer, I'm on mine right now. My brother is in IT and has been helping me remotely today on teamviewer, but had to go. He said to follow your steps because I was having problems with running a full scan with MSE in safe mode. The pop-up mentioned was constantly restarting the computer before it had a chance to run.

      Broni,
I also am infected with sirefef and stumbled on one of your logs where you successfully helped someone remove it. I was hoping you would help me as well. I appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks.

Hi Broni, my name is Spencer and i've seen all the help you've been able to provide to people suffering from sirefef attacks and was wondering if you could help me out. I have the sirefef.W trojan and rootkits that have stopped defender, firewall and MSE, and after an MSE reinstall, I keep getting the 1 minute reset error even in safemode. Any help you could offer would be a big help.

      Hey Broni,

In case no one's seen it yet, user John Senchak just posted someone's CC info (or purports it to be) in the thread "PayPal freezes VPN provider's account, spooked by BitTorrent".

      Just thought you should know.

      Best,
      Raswan

Hello Broni. My name if Frank and I was impressed with the help you gave another member. I was hoping you could help me as well. My computer was infected by a S.M.A.R.T. drive virus. I spent most of yesterday recovering the computer and removing the virus. I'm concerned there might be a left over root kit/virus/etc. Can you help me go through my computer and make sure it's all clean? Thank you.

Broni, Thanks for all your help so far. I am in Western Australia so the time shift is a bit difficult sometimes. It took over 9 hours to do the online scan but it did find some files which I have posted. I finally went to bed, it was so slow. I just wanted to say thank you so far...it has been a great relief to have your help and I am hoping we can finally kill this 'bleeping' thing...cheers Fiona (+ Dreadlox) :-)

Hey Broni. I appreciate the start of your help last night. I wanted to see if you might be on during the day today? I am using a mix of an old laptop and my ipad at work so I am not getting much done. Anyway, I will keep an eye on my thread.

      Thanks,
      Robert

HI, My internet totally crashed last night and now I can't post the combofix.txt to my thread. Can you please activate or reopen the thread for Pot1234dreadlox or Fiona Morgan ? I will also try to set up a new thread under my name with the combobox post - thanks, Pot1234dreadlox
