      I had similar problem with Avira after buying and loading 3 years worth.
      Could not uninstall using Control Panel using MS 7 Home. I have been buying and using Anti-Vir ever since it started and have kept my previous downloads, so I ended up loaded the 2009/10 .exe which started automatically. I then used 2013 Activation Code. Problem Solved!!!
