Hello! Thanks for the help with my previous problem. If you don't mind me asking, do you have IM so I can make chat with you all about PC and laptop troubleshooting? Thanks and have a great day...

      No IM

      Hello kimsland,

I appreciate the friend add. I apologize that it took me a bit to get around to writing this. I have been quite busy lately, and every time I went to write this message I would notice a new post of someone needing help and would get sidetracked.

Anyway, Thanks again and keep up the great work!!!!

      Thanks

I've added you as a friend.

      Thanks

Thanks Kim for the friends request.

Tell you a little about myself.

First I am here to work I hardly ever need help myself.

I am just getting used to the board and do need a friend and Mentor here.

Mentor for the board not so much for computer knowledge as I now am at the point where I have forgotten more than most know. But I do learn and helping others with issues keeps me sharp.

I don't mean that arrogantly just that I have done this for a living for 30 years. Even a dummy has to pick up something from that.

In fact I have forgotten more than I myself think I know, as often I will tackle an issue thinking it is new and how am I going to do this. Only to find as I delve in that I do in fact remember it now!

I like it here very much so far.

I want to compliment you and Julio for the 8 step procedure.

It is totally cool and agrees with my philosophy of Cleanliness (first) is next to Godliness with computers as well as humans.

Other boards don't like this, they want the diags and HJT first.

I have always said why look thu a bunch of unnecessary crap when the logs are already congested enough.
Additionally the disk and registry scans actually do get rid of some Malware and general system issues sometimes. And other times exposes or defines the issues

      OK enough of you time.

      Thanks again, later

      Mike

If this goes it is the only way to send as i have less than 15 posts so can not PM yet!

      Thanks

Bummer - last post could be hardware (HDD).

However, I've been watching this thread. I have been awaiting the call to run Combofix. HJT handling of O20 entries is my concern here. Additionally, this person seems to feel that there is more malware to clean out.
