120 g. seagate keeps cutting out

  1. i have two external seagate hd's and one of them keeps cutting out and right back on again and a warning pops up and sais that file k:/$ cannot be saved and file is lost try to save elsewhere?

    im not sure the prob i have checked all connections and i still cant find the problem

    any suggestions??

    If you want to find out if the drive is faulty or not the best way is to put it inside your pc and test it!!!!

    The enclosure or the drive is broken? Quite unbelievable, but things do breal sometimes :)

    Take the hard drive out of the box and test it inside your computer with the Seagate utility. Put another hard drive in the enclosure and see if it does the same.

    What type and size of hard drive is it????
    By size i mean physical size, not its capacity!!!!
