    Hello.

I've found out that a certain audio application I got recently needs to have a direct digital connection from my audio chipset to my CD or DVD drive, via SPDIF.

My CD and DVD drives have 2-Pin digital audio connectors. The SPDIF connector on my Asus A7V8X motherboard is a 3-pin one. Since I have not yet seen a 2-pin to 3-pin cable, I'm wondering if I cannot just plug in a 2_pin one and hope it works.

    Does anyone have any advice?
