3 hard drives

Is it normal for a laptop to have 3 hard drives in addition to the D CD/DVD drive? I found Administrator X drive that I was not aware of lists boot next to it.

Open the device mgr and look there.
the left most column has the list of physical drives and the second column will show partitions on each drive. The PARTITIONS get drive letters assigned to them so we can access that portion of the drive.

SO, to which physical drive does X:\ get assigned - - drive 0?

OOPS: use Control Panel->Admin tools->(right click, run as admin) Computer Mgmt->Disk Mgr
