    i've got a kt4-ultra and it says in the manual that it can take a 2800+ but i've seen on the site that it can take a 3000+. do i need to flash my bios to get it to work in my mobo?
    and do i need to formatt when i install a new cpu?

    flash the bios - formating will no be required
    anything that can take a 2800+ SHOULD take a 3000+ (same FSB/basic design) - u just need to get the bios to reckonise it
