3dfx voodoo3 problems

Hi

I recently installed a 3dfx voodoo3 card, I have been having the computer freezing. It is not a game software conflict, the programs that are running at the time are mIRC, and outlook, nothing too exciting. I've already installed current drivers and that hasn't solved the problem. I am running the latest directx as well.

I was wondering what advice you guys have. should I do a reinstall and see if that works? or...?

I suggest having a read through that if you haven't already.
Also details of the rest of the system that this card is being used on usually help when pinpointing a problem. Things like motherboard chipset driver issues (Via conflicts with SB!Live for example), conflicts with sounds cards (IRQ conflicts) and other hardware problems can be spotted simply by posting your complete system spec (motherboard, cpu, sound, PCI cards, video card, memory, PSU, windows version etc.). Even things like AGP power issues with certain types of motherboards have been known.
