Just so people can get a general idea of how each card performs I think we should have a list of what scores each card gets with the best being number 1, and the getting worst. I've also included the CPU and it's speed in the info so people can get an idea how a particular card would perform with their processor.

If you don't have 3DMark2006 it can be found Here

Post your replies in this format with a compare link to verify your score. I'll update this regulary.

Heres my compare link Here

Well, this is just with the settings for 3DMark06 (ie. 1280x1024):

3DMark Score 8235 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 3879 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 3838 Marks
CPU Score 1800 Marks

Dual-core Opteron, 2340 MHz, with GeForce 8800 GTS 640M, 575 MHz core, 1700 MHz memory, in XP x64.

Updated the table. And Mictlantecuhtli, you need to tell me other information like the CPU speed, and the speed on the graphics cards core and memory. Like MetalX has done.

We need to have a standard format. A template if you will. Like:

3dMark06 Score:
CPU Model:
CPU Core:
Stock CPU Speed:
Overclocked CPU Speed (if applicable):
Video Card Model:
Video Card Manufacturer:
Video Card Clocks (stock):
Video Card Clocks (overclocked, if applicable):
RAM Type:
RAM Amount:
Dual Channel?:

So mine would be:

3dMark06 Score: 4265 3dMarks
CPU Model: AMD Athlon 64 3200+
CPU Core: Venice
Stock CPU Speed: 2.00GHz
Overclocked CPU Speed (if applicable): 2.40GHz
Video Card Model: Nvidia GeForce 7950GT
Video Card Manufacturer: BFG Tech.
Video Card Clocks (stock): 565/1430
Video Card Clocks (overclocked, if applicable): 560/1700
RAM Type: DDR-400
RAM Amount: 2048MB
Dual Channel?: Yes

I think this could be nice to have to compare cards. If we decide on a standard format, I have several cards that I could post the results for: integrated nvidia 6100, pci 6200, agp 6200, pci-e 6200, pci-e 6600, agp 6600, pci-e 6600gt, pci-e 7600gt, pci-e 7800gt, pci-e 8600gt, mobile x1600, and mobile 7600gt.
Now running benchmarks on that many might take a bit of time, but would add a few to the chart.

Another thing that could be included is whether it's xp or vista, as they don't perform the same.

Edited - I ran the test again with 4 MHz higher FSB :p

I'm not overclocking the CPU nearly as much as with the previous card due to the temperature - I'm trying to keep my apartment temperature at tolerable level.

Wow, that was a pile of benchmarking. Some comments I'd like to make are that the agp and pci-e 6200(unlocked) cards perform similarly even though they use different interfaces. Also, the pci 6200 is not even close to fully performing due to pci bus limitations. I'd also note that just unlocking the 6200's yielded significant gains in 3dmark06. I was surprised that an integrated intel gma 950 beat an integrated nvidia 6100. I'm also kinda sad that my pvr beats my "gaming rig," and that I don't have any very high scoring rigs at the moment. ;) Some of my friends may contribute their scores to me to add as well.

I think he wants the memory listed as the non DDR speed. So that would be 607MHz.

This is really a case where we need to have a first post that can be edited by everyone... or at least everyone who has a certain number of posts ;) so that we can update the list even if Cyph3r is away or something like that.

If we are doing the actual memory speed, and not the "ddr rating" then change a few of mine please.

The 6600gt should have a memory speed of 500mhz
The 6200 pci should be at 200mhz mem
The other 6200s should all be at 275mhz mem
The 7800gt should be at 525mhz mem
The 8600gt I believe is correct at 700mhz mem

Sorry for the inconvenience of posting the ddr speeds.

I have a few other updates. I found the clock speeds on some of the missing clock speed cards I posted. I still don't know if integrated graphics have a memory clock though, or is it the same as the system memory speed? Anyway, here's what I found.

x1600 mobile actual clock speed is Core: 419, Mem: 450

We might just want to redo my whole x1600 mobile entry though. I ran it using the microsoft drivers for the card, which are crappy. I installed the catalyst drivers and re-ran it, here's the updated result. Much better.

ATI X1600 Mobile 128MB | Core: 419, Mem: 450 | Intel C2Duo T7400 @ 2.16ghz | Score: 1432

I got the clock speed for the 7300gt as well. The entry should be:

Nvidia 7300GT 256MB | Core: 350, Mem: 333 | Intel Xeon 5150 @2.66ghz | Score: 1643

I also ran that machine with the card overclocked, this is the result:

Nvidia 7300GT 256MB | Core: 416, Mem: 474 | Intel Xeon 5150 @2.66ghz | Score: 2053

Thanks I was confused about that. I changed it.

*Don't have software to tell me the speed, got that from a webpage selling the specific card I have, my futuremark results page says 351/658, which is significantly faster than 500, but not fast enough that half of it would make sense either.

If people keep posting, we might be able to start a database. I'd say... 75-100 results and we can ask a mod to look into making a 3dMark06 database :D

This is a really great idea Cyph3r :)

heh yeah i made it because people are always asking

"What graphics card is best for me?"
or
"how bad will my cpu bottleneck this graphics card?"

So with this table people can check how their CPU would perform with a card compared to with a different CPU ect ect.

Why'd you change my Memory Clock to 800 (on my 8800)? I had it as 533, its ddr3, so effective of 1600. Was it just a mistake or am I not understanding something?

SNGX1275, On ALL DDR ram, you half it, not divide by three just becuase its GDDR3, you still HALF it's effective rate.

Lol... SNGX... DDR3 is still Double Data Rate ;) It's just Double Data Rate 3, the new technology of RAM. So it's still 800x2 not 533x3 :). For it to be 533x3 it would be TDR (Triple Data Rate). As long as it's called DDR it's always effective = actual x2.
