4 gb RAM on x64

  1. Hello everyone..im a newbie around here...
    and my question would be...
    Here's the situation...
    i used win x64, 4 gig of RAM..why it isnt detected full 4 gig?
    it detects only 3456 mb,why?
    can anyone help me with this?...

    Which version of x64 Windows are you using? Are you sure it's a 64-bit operating system?

    yes im definitely sure its x64...profesional edition if im not mistaken
    ..when im using adobe after effects..on processing only detected 3.4 mb also

    Does your BIOS indicate the full 4 gB?
    Do you have a built in graphics card on your motherboard?

    looks like on board graphics allocating ram to me. what are your system specs ?

    my specs

    intel processor 1.8 ghz
    P5 LD2 SE
    N6600 silencer
    1 gig x 4 ram oh KINGSTON

    and at BIOS only detect 3456 MB of RAM
