4 sticks of dual channel DDR, 2 different brands: Problems

Have two different brands of dual channel DDR.

When i have one set or the other in....it works fine. However, when i put all 4 in, it will start to go...get to windows, then shut down.

Although the brands are different...its all 400 mhz, 256 sticks.

Its in a lanparty 800 mhz FSB amd 3000 motherboard/chip.

Any help?

you can try increasing the memory tinings in the bios, perhaps allowing slower but more stable operation. if the sticks don't work together, they won't and there's nothing you can do. if you want, you can update the bios, but that shouldn't effect the problem. with this kind of stuff, you have to experiment around and find what works out. good luck.
