I'm not sure how this is really supposed to work, I've always considered myself to know alot about computers when it came to upgrading and pushing things to the max. But just recently I thought I would up the ante on my sound! So I picked out some beast 5.1 channel speakers and knew I would have to upgrade my sound card, and thats when the problem arised. I found a 5.1 card for $71.99.... but then I found a 7.1 card (except for channel difference they were the same card) for $74.99. So I was wondering if 5.1 channel speakers run well, sound smooth, and work on a 7.1 card, so one day I might upgrade to 7.1 channel speakers and I won't have to go buy another card!! SO IF SOMEONE COULD HIT THIS UP AND TELL ME IF 5.1 SPEAKERS RUN ON 7.1 CARD SO I CAN MAKE THE WISEST PURCHASE!
