Question? can someone here tell what advantages of having a 64 bit cpu running on a 32 bit OS windows xp or is it just marketing gimmick? i'm trying to say will i see a boost performance on in that type of system. thx for your time.

Not likely to see any performance differences running a 32 bit OS on a 64 bit CPU. That is if all things are equal in the chips besides the bandwidth.

However, when comparing 64bit AMD's to 32bit AMD's theres a very large performance difference in regards to improved architecture, onboard memory controller and several other enhancements.
