64MB GeForce Card Shows up as 32MB

I just purchased a new GeForce Ti 64MB DDR (AGP4x) card online for an older machine I'm throwing together for a friend.

Everything is working fine, except, go figure, the only new piece of Hardware.
Video displays flawlessly, except the card is only showing up as 32MB (both in Windows and BIOS).

The card was installed, followed by a fresh install of Windows XP Corp.
(I formated the HD as well.)

Specs on the machine are:
1,000 gHz athlon T-Bird
1,024 MB PC133 RAM
Asus A7v133 MoBO.
The rest of the components are pretty generic (LAN card, Sound Card).

There were no reported conflicts in the windows device manager for any of the hardware.

So what would cause a 64MB card to only show up as 32MB?

Thanks for hearing me out,
Brian

Faulty memory on the video card can do that. There's no one way to make sure if it's faulty or not, I'd return it if I were you.

Yeah =/

Yeah, faulty memory banks would be the worst case scenario for me. It was only a $25 card (with shipping), and I'm assuming I would be required to pay shipping fees to return the card (b/c I ordered online). Probably not worth the trouble.

That's why if I can find a solution, I'de be a bit more excited. I can deal with 32MB if I need to, but it's still nice to have what you payed for.

I suppose the next task in troubleshooting would be to test the card in another computer. If it shows up there, it would most likely be the card itself.
