  1. is the 7800GS going to be the last really good AGP, or is their any new models expected to come out any time soon?

There's been no indication that any more performance AGP cards will come out. It could always change but I would guess that it's the last performance card to be released for AGP.

It seems there will be (at least) one more new agp card, but it likely will be slower than the current best 7800gs. It's the 7600gs agp, clocked at 500/1300, and I'd assume it'd be a 12 pipe card, like the 7600gt.

hmm..very intersesting..it seems just about right up their with the 7800, but it only has 12 pixel pipelines...it seems odd that they would even make this card, if its not even coming out to 2007. it seems that the only advantage of buying this instead of the 7800 would be the price, but by 2007 the the 7800gs will probably only be around 200, and its pretty hard to beat that. my opinion on it is if they were going to make any new agp, it should of been the 7900, not the 7600
