  1. Hi, since the price has dropped down to 400$ for nvidia 7800 gt s, i was thinking of putting one into my new system instead of a 6800 gt. the only problem is, i dont know how big of a power supply i should get, and what specs on the supply i should look for.
ps. if you have any suggestions for a good power supply, just add in the link. Thx :)

Have you gone to the card maker's page and looked?

the Nvidia 7 series uses less power and puts out less heat than the 6800. That being said if you had a 6800 and it was powered fine, you should be ok. BUT you still want to check out your PSU. How big is it? Look on the back of your case near the power cord to find out, should be measured in watts.
