8800GT - Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R - Monitor = Blank

Recently put together a new build;

OCZ StealthXtreme 600w (12v x 4 = 18amps)
E6700
2x1GB Corsair XMS2's
Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R
8800GT OC

When i turn on the system nothing comes up on the screen and the standby light stays on. The system starts up, fans are spinning etc just nothing on the screen. CPU fan looks odd, only spinning now and then.

I've made sure;
All connectors are connected

I've tried;
Resetting cmos
trying only 1 stick of RAM
taking out hdd,cd,dvd,ram etc
a different CPU (E6400)
a different PSU (Hiper Type M 530w and Antec Smartpower 450w)

I also tried a new graphics card (Radeon x1800gto) which did work so its something to do with the Graphics card itself?

Im wondering either the graphics card is faulty?
Motherboard does not support??
Not enough power???

I also tried the 8800GT in another system with an Antec Smartpower 450w PSU which did not work.

Can anyone tell me what might be the problem?

2 computers-> both work

but neither work when you insert the 8800GT graphics card

I would send the card back

I assume you plugged in power to the graphics card!

other than that, you should at least get a vga display even with no drivers.
