  1. hey guys, i just have a question concering using a ati 9700 pro in my new board(few days old) asus a7v8x-x. I really want to get that card for my computer but ive been reading on some forums that the 9700 pro is unstable with this board. Does anybody know if this is a worry or should the 9700 pro be alright, it will be a fresh install without any other previous video cards on the board, thanx for your help!!!

    It should work...

And since it'll be a fresh install, you won't be(/shouldn't be) having the problems others are experiencing when just switching videocard...

You could see some problems, but it's not too likely...

You have a 66% chance of having no problems whatsoever. According to most polls that is.

The 9700 pro is a seriously good card, so its worth giving it a shot. Any compatability issues with your mainboard can usually be fixed with a bios update.
