9800 pro game pixellation

Getting pixellation in games. They play fine but the pixellation is very noticeable and off-putting. I recently put an arctic cooler on the card, could this be making a difference? as its only just started to happen. Tried deleting drivers and reinstalling newest, to no avail. Also tried reinstalling games to no avail.

System:
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
ASUS A7N8X-E mobo
AMD XP3200+
1024 pc3200 Kingston RAM

I'm getting the same thing (another thread) with a 9800XT. Checked power, temp, went back two sets of drivers (after cleaning) and getting the same thing. Somewhat related, I'm getting it heavy in Tribes:Vengeance and BF1942 Desert Combat, but not so bad in HL2...
