  1. my brother gave me his video card Nvidia FX5200. but when i placed it in the slot my mobo said "system failed vga test". i tried placing it again and again but the result is the same. so i decided to disconnect the plug of the vga port from the video card. then my mobo did not say any failure.

i was wondering if it is possible that the vga port has problem and the dvi port doesn't have? i couldn't test if the dvi port is ok coz i don't have a dvi cable right now.

or any other suggestion why does my mobo says "system failed vga test"? the video card seems ok, i was just wondering how could it possibly be damaged when we don't even dropped it?????
