A monitor Problem

Hey!

I have an old monitor, an AXION CK 4148. the pc is very good, its not the latest, but its performance is very good.
the problem is that when i run some of the latest games the computer runs it ok, but the monitor turns black. i know that the game is on because i can here all of the sounds, i just dont have a picture.

any help would help
