First you have to have your picture being hosted on the net somewhere, where it can be accessed with a regullar web address. Then you have to click on the little picture above the posting space and fill in the url on the prompt. The size of the picture depends on the size of the original. The original can be resized before being posted. Windows , you can use paint if you don't have an editing program. Or you can use Windows Power Tools Image Resizer. Picasa2 is also a free image editing tool that can be used. I know there are free photo hosting picture web sites, but don't remember any specific names. Perhaps someone else can post a link to one.
Everytime i try to put my pic up on here it just puts a link up. Could some one please tell me how to get the pic to show. Im already hosting the pic on putfile.com and the resizing isnt a problem now. i just need to know how to make my picture show... so if someone has a spare 2 mins to explain i'll be forever greatfull. Thanks

OK Well I tried to post your link in this message and it didn't work for me as well. so it must have something to do with the way the site is linking, even though they say it should work. Why don't you try another hosting service. Some guys on another forum I frequent said to try PhotoBucket.

i could have put up some photos that gave a good impression, but, with the amount of times my comp and various friends comps have been saved by the good people at this here site, i thought i would put up some light hearted pics.
this was back in feb, just returned from home and obviously i had not left my room in the best of conditions. try to spot all my crap! ill give u a hint, next to my keyboard sits some cake, i think it was carrot cake. but theres still a ton of other crap to spot. its like waldo with a dirty room.
this is me (on the left) with my roomie and good friend ffej on my bday which also happens to be cinco de mayo so we had two things to celebrate, even tho neither one of us is mexican
and finally me and my friend jesse (jstroker on this forum here - he once had a problem, while I, continuously have computer problems - keepin' it real, real dumb). i would put up a serious pic, but this is me 4 days a week, except now i try not to drink beer anymore, just hard liqour (tryin to stay in shape -avoidin them carbs) that and i also helps that i look like a total tard in this pic. haha. im the one on the right in case u didnt know! i must have been really constipated to make that face. that grin is priceless. i said so, and let it be so.

I'm really new here, so I feel comfortable that nobody knows me, so if I don't get thrown out for ugly,everyone will have forgotten my appearance here and won't connect me with my posts. If they should remember, they'll understand some of my ***** questions.
I looked through this thread last night, and was almost dumbstruck by the differences in "up-to-date" hardware in some of those posts from as recently as 2002 & 2003. Things move so quickly, it's no wonder old fauxarts like me can't keep up.
Anyhoo- here's some poor pics of my station, (will post good ones if the demand becomes too heavy- ahem,ahem), and a rather good one of me. Files won't upload, did somethin wrong. I'll be back. :blackeye:

advice? Try again later. j/k Try putting them in an online photo host like Photo bucket or TinyPic.
