A real strange problem with pes2009

hello everyone
and thank you all for the very good advice i have already had here as a lurker
i have a problem .
im running vista premium with 2gb ram/ 160 HD

i bourght pes2009 (football game) new and put it in my dvd drive i only have the one atm and it won't reconise the disk put it in the laptop and sweet running fine .
laptop also running vista but with less high spec internals.

my drive will see every other type of media i put in even some badly scratched dvds
i have tryed updating drivers no luck all upto date already says im fine

any ideas guys will be greatly recevied..

OK - details.

When you insert it and close the door, what if anything happens.

If you look in Windows Explorer, My Computer is anything listed as inserted in the DVD?

If you click Start, right click My Computer, click manage, what if anything shows for the DVD drive?
