A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly.

    You don`t need the cd for filechecker,just type sfc /scannow in the run box.
    I`m thinking you might end up doing a reinstall

    but when I run it, it says "Files that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to the DLL cache. Insert your Service Pack 4 CD now."

    Oh,good point ! yes you do need the CD if it asks for it :)

    Setting Timeout Period

    The reason for that message is that Windows has a timeout for vbscripts and java scripts to run. This usually happens if the script is having to perform a process on a large file. See the Microsoft document:

    I'm desperate now.... I realize that my pc has been installed when I bought it.. I don't have the CD.. Is there any chance to run sfc without CD? Or is there any solution?

    script error

    i am getting the this message " a scrpt on this page is causing internet explorer to run slowly if it continues to run your computer may become unresponsive".
    what i m actually doing is uploading a course that is a zip of size around 35 Mb and contains doc,jpg and some internet shortcuts there is no js file in it
    i m wondering is there a problem in zip file or the LMS(learning management system)?
    plz suggest ..

    Hope im not too late

    That same error just happened to me.....turns out it was Quicktime Player. I didnt Uninstall it, I just went under the options and Disabled everything. I am going to uninstall it tho, just because of all the grief it caused me. One thing that helped me figure it out was that QUICKTIME was one of the things I installed just before this script error came up. Please let me know it this helps.
