Hi. I've been noticing lately that a weird file named "popcinfot" keeps appearing in my desktop. I tried deleting the file but it appears after i start or restart the laptop. Could it be a virus or something else? Please help. Thanks.

If you would like us to check for malware, please follow the steps HERE

When you have finished, please attach the 3 logs to your next reply.

Be sure to check the lines on both Malwarebytes and Superantispyware to remove the entries they find.

I will assist if any removals need to be made in HJT.

I will leave you to the resident Bobbye on this other than one question out of curiosity, do you have any 'popcap' games on your machine?

if memory serves (maybe Bobbye can confirm this) i think its a safeguard built into their trial games so its not used beyond the '30 trial' for instance. kind of an anti cheat deal.
