AC power networking any good?

  1. I just bought a new house and can you believe they did not add a phone line or cable in that room, I could try and run the cables but what a pain.
    I seen that the network over A/C power can go 85mbps and even 200mbps.
    Are they any good and can I game over that type of set up ?

    thanks

    Yes, these are very good -- just be sure to ALWAYS use the encryption feature

    the connections look like
    Code:
    modem---normal.router---wired or Wifi access
                  |
                  +--- EoP source =====a/c=======Eop Client---wired.systems

    The EoP source acts just like a wifi router; ie it has encryption on the ==a/c== link
    to the Eop Client. Your systems then are wired to Client.
    It is also possible to connect a WiFi router to the EoP Client.

    Without access to the EoP Client adapter, someone on your patio can not get
    WiFi access to the EoP source.

    That is the type I have and it's Awesome :D
    You're not sharing your connection with anyone through any cables and the service is stable.
