    Problem:
When a program tries to access the Internet an error of this sort pops out:

Access violation at address 7B413580 in module 'MSAFD.DLL'. Read of address FFFFFFFF.

    Generally caused by Rpcss.

    Question:
So whats the problem and what should I do?

Any help would be appricated PLEASE.

    Additional notes:
The OS is Win98SE and the internet is shared from a WinXPHome PC (LAN).
This error occurs even in Safe Mode.
The PC is VERY sloooooooow.
No internet access but can ping almost any domain.
I don't use this PC so I cannot say what caused this.

PS. A HJT log is attached if needed. (I think there are too many nasties  but its not mine  )

Your system is absolutley infested with nasties.

Go HERE and download and run the Rapidblaster killer.

Then, go HERE and follow the instructions exactly.

Post a fresh HJT log into this thread, only after doing the above.

    Regards Howard :)

    Sorry my bad.

Go HERE and follow the instructions at the bottom of the page for Newnet removal.

Once your internet is working, follow the instructions in my first post in the order they are given.
