Ack! Errorguard !!!

    my wife just noticed error guard on our desktop and ask if i downloaded it
    i had not. When i did reserch (before the register prompting ) i found that it has been plauging tons of people. does anyone here have experience with this bane to pc's and if so what should i be worried about as far as infestation or identity theft etc... what is best to remove it
