add or remove programs missing????

    hey there all got a q for ya.........i have reformatted next doors pc and when it got to copying files it couldnt copy app wiz.......so i retryed still no joy so i skipped it lol!anyway we know now that it was the add or remove programs.......i have taken the app wiz file from my pc and put it on hers as we used same disk and mine works?she now has add and remove progs.....but it doesnt work no programs show up on it any clues as to what i can try next????????????thax!

    ok if i repair/upgrade will that do it if it will copy the file??????also if i upgrade will i lose everything?

    You can try a repair install of XP...

    I'm not sure if that will help you out in this case but its worth a shot, and you will not lose any information by doing just a repair install.
