I just added a new 120GB Maxtor hard drive to my compaq presario 5352. I have kept my old drive and now have it in the position of lowly slave(LOL)
here is my first question.
If I use the compaq backup utility....(it is supposed to save a copy of your system to the D drive, which 'used' to be a partitioned area of the 'old' C hard drive) my "old" drive is now labeled D. I have a partition on the new C drive that is labeled E. If I run that backup utility, do you suppose it is going to make the save on the old D drive, or will it make another partition on my new C drive?
I guess I have plenty of room and if it doesn't do what I want I can delete the backup....but I don't want another partition.
Guess I just thought maybe someone would know the answer to this ahead of actually 'trying' it.
thanks
Katy
