I have an inspiron 1300 and i have read that you can adjust the amount of shared memory it uses for the integrated video, can someone show me how to do this?

    ...

In my display properties it says that it is only using 26mb
it says my minimum is 8mb
    my maximum is 128mb
I want it to be higher!
I checked the bios and can't find anything.
    i need help!

you can setup it in bios

I think that's the maximum, unless youre using good BIOS such as AMI, then you can configure as you wish. But let me remind you about integrated graphic card, especially notebook. No matter how much you set the memory, not worth it. Even Intel GMA 950 or ATIXpress200 pumped up till 1gig also perform nothing.

If you want then you might upgrade to X1300 or 7300, ask dell about it. Im sure they have this option but they will charge you more...

    Hi

Well I managed to get the wife to let me play with her inspiron 1300 and had a bloody good look through all the settings, and NO you cant change the amount of memory the VGA card has.

    Regards
