Advise on hd

Im going to build a new computer and i want to use a hard drive out of a older HP that i have and was wondering if i can use it??? 160gb sata HD

Yes, can use it no problem. You are unlikely to have much success if you are going to try and just stuff it in and boot up the old install of Windows from the Dell though. Best to backup the things on the drive, format/install Windows in the new PC.

So when i boot up in the new computer i need to do it with the disk and format/intall in the new one then??

Yep.

Technically, with some preparation you might be able to avoid it. I encourage a format/install though.
