Adware/bravesentry fakealert

  1. Hi Webroot SpySweeper has found this piece of adware on my computer.It name is "bravesentry fakealert".I was able to finally get rid of it by turning off restore on my computer and then run SpySweeper. How could I find out where I picked it up at? shsh21

    You could`ve got the infection from an email or chatroom or simply by visiting a bogus website. However you got it, it looks like SpySweeper has taken care of it.

    CommonName

    Hi I ran a scan on my computer with PC Tools"Spyware Doctor". It came up with a nasty called "CommonName" Anybody got a line on this bugger? Regards shsh21

    Threads merged.

    CommonName is an adware toolbar.

    Did Spyware doctor get rid of it?
