AGP card problem.

  1. Hello, my friend bought a new AGP Graphics Card and he puts it into the slot.
When he turns the computer on, it boots up but it doesnt show on the screen. It just stays black and nothing shows up. But it says please check video cables.
When he takes it out and puts the original card he has back in, it is normal.
    What can be the problem?

    hi ,
if i was having that problem i would try the gfx card in another machine .
if that same message comes up i would be suspecting a faulty card .
i hope this is of some help .
