AGP Graphics Card Recommendations

I would like to know your opinions on choosing a new AGP graphics card for my desktop machine, with the following specs: P4 2.80ghz, 1GB RAM, 350W PSU (full specs can be found here however, I've upgraded the RAM from 512MB to 1GB)

About a year ago I tried to install a GeForce 6600 256mb card on the same machine, with little success, so I'm a little wary of nVida cards.

Ideally, I'd be looking to spend under £120 (about $200)

What was the problem with the 6600?

ATi X800 series would work well.

buy XFX GeForce 6600GT 128MB DDR3 AGP 8X... it works so awesome

JMMD, DAVco4 asking for AGP, not PCI-E so drop the X800

There are a few AGP x8-- cards out there

x800GTO for instance would be great for your setup. They are better performers then 6600gts. And they are about the same price.

I'd love to know what the problem with my 6600 was

But I've been trying to figure it out on and off for a year now, and I still haven't been able to get it to work properly. >_<

The x800GTO looks interesting. I'm going to search around for a couple of reviews. Keep the suggestions coming
