A Friend Of mine recently brought a $135AUS 3d card only to find he does not have an AGP slot. However on the motherboard there are the pin holes for one and two screw holes to screw one in. Is it possible to install and AGP slot in there?

    No.

... Although the manufacturer did leave a place to have one soldered in, perhaps on higher models.

As an end user, installing an AGP port would be impossible (or absurdly difficult).

An easier solution would be to get the PCI version of the card, or buy a new (real) motherboard that has an AGP port.
