When I first heard of carplay I predicted that it was to get apple people sucked into having something like this in the car and that they would make their own head unit. Well I was close…unless they’re thinking of buying Alpine’s carplay takes off? I’m guessing it’ll be a face plate or to switch so when they come out with a new system that has new features and a new version of ios it’ll make it easy for the fanboys to chuck their old (6 month to a year old) stereo and buy a new one like they do with the ipads and iphones. Its just another money suck from apple.
