alternative to xp's wireless scanner

Hi, does anyone know a better alternative to xp wireless scanner? more specifically is there any wireless tool to that i can use to broadcast a wireless from my laptop wireless adapter?

not sure, but the one im talking about is well it happens on my laptop, the wireless icon in the sys try and when you open it that one.
