can some1 tell me if im underpowerin my computer? n is there any problems that can happen to my computer? thanks

my computer:

Gateway GT5012 Media Center Computer
Intel 945G Motherboard
Pentium D cpu with 2.80Ghz
ram of 3 GB
nvidia geforce 7600 gs 512mb 128bit gddr 2 pic express x 16
and my power supply is
bestec 300 watts dual 12v power supply

You should think about getting a more powerful PSU.

Bestec is the brand that emachine use if i remember correctly. Replace it as soon as you can before it dies and takes your mobo with it.

You cannot overpower your PC with a power supply. The dual 12volt rail system is a good one. I would recommend an Ultra Xfinity 600 watt. I use one and it's powering an Nvidia 8800 GTS 320 and does a great job. You will be ready for expansion.

You should definitely get a better power supply.

The OP's system is a Gateway so the question is what is propriety to Gateway and will it be compatable?

but last time when i install my video card

the only thing i really see wrong with your specs is your Power. Think about getting a nice 550 watt
