amazon launches xbox game trade-ins

Amazon is offering a new promotion that could help you decide whether to get the 360 or the Xbox One version of some of the best upcoming multi-gen titles. The offer allows you to trade in select Xbox 360 titles for the Xbox One version for as little as $10. Eligible titles include Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, NBA 2K14, Watch Dogs, Need for Speed Rivals, Madden NFL 25, and FIFA 14.

Until December 31, 2013, Amazon will offer a $25 in-store credit towards the Xbox One version of qualifying games when you trade in its 360 counterpart. Add that to the minimum trade in-value of $25, and you have $50 to put towards the next gen version of the game.

When you trade in your Xbox 360 game it will be subject to the standard checking process by Amazon. Once approved, add the Xbox One version to your cart and you'll see the credit automatically applied.

Even you have already pre-ordered or end up purchasing qualifying current gen versions from somewhere other than Amazon, the offer is still available. This is just for Xbox titles, however, the deal is not available for Playstation games. For more details head over to Amazon's promo page.

GameStop recently announced a very similar promotion. One of the main differences is that you must have purchased the original 360 version at GameStop within the first 30 days of it releasing, as well having to be a PowerUp Rewards Member.
