    That's my problem. I am using an Asus A7N8X Deluxe. I tried to do some overclocking, but it didn't work. So I went back to my regular settings.

    FSB=166 Multiplier=13.

    I boot Windows to make sure everythign is ok and it says my processsor is 831Mghz. This would be expected if I was using a laptop, but this is on my desktop.

    It's not Window's fault either, as Linux says the same thing. I even tried to turn everyting to auto, but to no avail. I tried resetting the defaults, rebooting, then changing the defaults to what they are supposed to be. I got the same result. Using defaults I got a processor speed of 497Mghz.

    I'm lost for ideas.
