AMD launches the A10-7870K, a new high-end desktop APU

Let's just calculate what 40W of difference in power consumption will result in a year of 24/7 work:

40 W difference × 24 hours × 365 days = 350,4 kWh × 0,15 $/kWh = $52,56


Now let's not live in a fantasy and acknowledge that neither CPU is using their full TDP all the time (and possible never) and no one is rendering 4K videos non stop, 24/7 , 365 days a year.

Hell, when gaming, my FX 6300 @4.5 GHz isn't using more than 68W (checked with Hardware Monitor) and it averages at 45W.
