So what do you guys think about that new 2900 card they have, looks like crap to me. Any takers?

It's not as good as it was supposed to be.

The Radeon HD 2900 XT is an inefficient power hog. Using the 2900 XT card will cost you more power than a GeForce 8800 GTX while delivering to you sub-8800 GTS performance. That is not a small difference in terms of performance per watt.

I'd rather get a 640MB GTS. Runs much "cooler", and uses "less power" than the HD card...

I read some reviews, seems like they rushed to put it out. Comeptition error maybe?

How did this happen. In all preliminary tests it owned the G80 series. Sounds like a marketing scam to me.

I think that was the R600XTX card. It had 1GB of DDR4 RAM, but it appears that it ran excessively hot, and used an stupid amount of power.

They will release that card, but using a newer 65nm core. The R650.
