Analogue out of range

i just got this lg monitor from my uncle with no hard drive and it loads and all but when ever i the windows xp sign loads a sign keeps saying analogue out of range and when ever i try going to safe mode or anything like that it wont let me change anything about it can anyone help me please

Is this an LCD monitor? Make sure the resolution is set to it's native res and that refresh is at 60Hz. You should be able to do that from VGA mode.

Go to Safe Mode with VGA enabled. It's somewhere down on the Safe Mode list.
