According to Distimo, although Android have larger share than iphone, but Android developers aren't making money (well read they are poorer when compared with iphone application developers).
Mountain View is unhappy with such bad performance of Android market, as iphone have crushing sales advantage. Since the Android market opened it have only two (2) paid applications with half-million downloads. Whereas in just last two months, six paid apps in the app store surpassed this milestone.
I guess this also tells another story, that how much rubbish is being pushed into Android market, even WinMo/WP have more top applications than android.
