Here is the most recent HJT log after running all of the above.

Ran ComboFix. The log is attached. I then ran HJT again. That log is also attached.

Thank you again for the help.

OK that seemed to get it!

Since TDSServer is now gone!

Run MBAM Full scan once more if it is clean then post 1 more HJT log.

After I see this and it is clean I will post a closing procedure.

Mike

You are healed and cleaned o great one!

Go with peace and joy!

Come back tomorrow for debriefing!:)

I am knocking off early tonight!

Mike

I don't care what everyone else says, Mike, you are a gentleman and a scholar.

I'll check back tomorrow am.

Huh-oh.

While running MBAM this morning, my AVG flagged a Trojan Horse: PSW.Generic6.AQPD. It was located at C:\Windows\system32\macromed\Flash\FlashUtil10a.exe. I moved it to the Virus Vault. Attached is my HJT log.

MBAM came back clean.

Nope not Huh-oh!

But Hooray my Virus Scanner is doing it's job and caught this and let me know it did.

This is good news.

And your Virus scanner is the first line of defense and works differently than the cleaners we have just used.

This is a hint to do a full virus scan.

I can almost guarantee that you got this browsing since the final fix!

We can clean them off but we can't stop them from trying to get on! So we try to catch/prevent them from getting on. It is when they sneak in that is the problem.

Usually a couple of these then it is time to do a full virus scan and scan again with mbam and sas.

Have you been to Ytube or MySpace?

Nothing in HJT log.

Mike

No surfing to those sites.

Thanks for the good news. Ordinarily that wouldn't have worried me. I'm just a little hyper-sensitive right now.

Thanks again for the help.

Run CCleaner again twice or more on Cleanup temps, then on left click Registry then Scan for issues also repeat till clean.

Then

D/L install and run ATF-Cleaner clear all except passwords in all browsers you have. Run repeatedly until no more found.

The issue found is in System Restore so do the below

Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disk- System Restore and create a new Restore point. Name it "After cleanup at TechSpot".

Then

Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disk Cleanup
Click OK to accept C:
Select all Boxes
Then click More Options
Here click System Restore and OK to "Are you sure" and the OK to Run.

As this runs it clears all but the most recent Restore Point but it does one other thing that can contain infested files and a huge amount of disk space.

It clears what is known as Shadow copies which are used by specialized back up programs.

This is if you have the Volume Shadow Copy running which is the default.

OTScanit will delete when finished, if not delete it by yourself.

Every 2 weeks or so run mbam and sas until clean. If they find something they can not clean then get back to us.

Additionally run CCleaner.

I have been using ThreatFire for more than a year it just went from ver 3 to ver 4.

It was designed to co-exist with other Virus scanners.

Additionally it uses totally different process to protect. While conventional Virus scanners work from definitions ThreatFire works on recognizing Virus/Malware activity. It's like looking at it with 2 sets of eyes and from a different angle.

Look at http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Run SpyBot ocassionally and use the Immunize function.
